Government of Uganda in collaboration with Huawei Technologies, has launched the Huawei Digitruck project in the Teso sub-region of Eastern Uganda. The initiative aims to provide free digital skills training to over 10,000 recipients within three years, focusing on promoting digital literacy and enabling local trade.

Uganda To Pay $30 Million Hosting Fee and Preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations

Uganda is set to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and will need to pay a $30 million hosting fee to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) before February 2025. This decision followed the joint Pamoja Bid with Kenya and Tanzania to host the tournament. Alongside the hosting fee, Uganda has committed to building two new stadiums and upgrading existing ones for the event.

Environmental Activists Take Part In 700km Walk to Save River Nile

A total of seven (7) environmental activists under their umbrella; the Walkers Association of Uganda (WAU) took part in the 700 km walk in the campaign aimed at saving the world’s longest river, the River Nile from Elegu, the Uganda-South Sudan border town.

Police Crackdown Otuke and Busia Gangs, Recover Guns, And Over Shs 20 million

In two separate police operations in Otuke and Busia districts, notorious thieves were neutralized, and weapons were confiscated. On September 25, 2023, in Busia, police pursued and fatally wounded a robber named Kudu Ashraf, alias Mr. X, recovering cash and weapons. Another arrest occurred on September 26, 2023, in Kampala, where a notorious robber, Ouni Norman Kaunda, was apprehended, and an SMG was recovered.

Now his firm is representing what may be the first client to sue X over its trademark a Florida-based social media ad agency, X social media, that connects clients with opportunities to market themselves across social platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
