Vipers SC Unveil Serbian Nikola Kavazovic as New Head Coach
Uganda Premier League giants, Vipers SC have unveiled seasoned Serbian coach Nikola Kavazovic as their new head coach. The 48-year-old tactician signed a two-year contract with the Vemons, replacing Livingstone Mbabazi and was unveiled on yesterday, Wednesday,19th June 2024
Uganda Premier League team Vipers SC has named 48-year-old veteran Serbian coach Nikola Kavazovic as their new head coach. Kavazovic will take over for Livingstone Mbabazi at the Vemons, and he signed a two-year contract yesterday, Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, the President of Vipers SC, expressed his excitement about the appointment.
“The Vipers you’re going to see this season are going to be very different. I sympathize with the teams we’re going to face this season – they should start their preparations early.” He started, adding; “We’re determined this time around.”
He has managed several clubs, including Township Rollers, Free Stars, Jwaneng Galaxy, and Flamingoes, with his most recent role being at Ethiopian Coffee. Notably, he led FC Istiklol Dushanbe to victory in the AFC President’s Cup in 2012.
The Serbian coach is known for his attacking style of play, emphasizing short passes, quick ball movement, and creative freedom. He also prioritizes zonal pressing and swift transitions on the defensive side.
Currently pursuing his UEFA PRO Diploma, Kavazovic is committed to professional development and possesses excellent communication skills to lead a multicultural team.
Vipers SC is expected to be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming season under Kavazovic’s leadership. The team has already begun preparations, with a series of friendly matches lined up to prepare for the new campaign.
