Chief of Joint Staff Meets First-ever Chinese Military Advisor to Uganda
Major General Jack Bakasumba, Chief of Joint Staff, met with Colonel Zhang Hao, the first-ever Chinese Military Advisor to Uganda, at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs in Mbuya. Col Zhang praised the historical relations between Uganda and China.

Major General Jack Bakasumba, the Chief of Joint Staff has today met with the first-ever Chinese Military Advisor to Uganda, Colonel Zhang Hao, who paid a courtesy call on him at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs Headquarters, Mbuya.
Col Zhang hailed the historical relations between the Republic of Uganda and the People’s Republic of China dating back to the National Resistance Army (now Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces) and observed that China has been an instrumental ally in the economic development of Uganda, particularly the Defence Industry.

The Chinese Defence Advisor expressed commitment to enhancing the existing bilateral relations and military cooperation in various areas.
Accompanying Col Zhang Hao, was Mr. Song Jinpeng, a Staff from the Chinese Embassy.
