New Police Spokesperson Rusoke Kituuma Vows Transparency and Trust in Communications

Rusoke Kituuma the recently appointed new police spokesperson, succeeding Fred Enanga, has emphasized his dedication to enhancing transparency and fostering effective communication between the Police Force and the public. He outlined his commitment to openness, honesty, and building trust through accessible dialogue with citizens and media.

Rusoke Kituuma, recently appointed as the new police spokesperson, succeeding Fred Enanga,pledged to enhance support and efforts to improve the communication between the Police Force and the public.

In his first address as spokesperson yesterday Monday, July 8,2024 Kituuma emphasized his commitment to transparency and effective communication.

“I am dedicated to fostering a strong partnership between the Police Force and the community,” he stated. “Our communication will be open, honest, and aimed at building trust with the public.”

Kituuma highlighted his open-door policy, encouraging citizens and media representatives to engage with the Police Force.

“I believe in open dialogue and accessibility. My office will always be open to address concerns and provide information.”

Kituuma brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has previously served as a District Police Commander and a Regional Police Commander at Old Kampala Police Station and Rwizi Region, respectively.

Additionally, he worked in the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in early 2013, where he gained extensive insight into the operational and strategic aspects of the Police Force.

As he steps into his new position, Kituuma expressed gratitude to his predecessor, Enanga, for his service and dedication.

He assured the public that he would build upon Enanga’s efforts to further strengthen the relationship between the Police Force and the community.

“My primary goal is to ensure that our communication is clear, timely, and informative. I look forward to working closely with all stakeholders to achieve this,” Kituuma concluded as he addressed journalists at the Police headquarters in Naguru, Kampala.
