Nigerian singer Joeboy, known for hits like “Baby,” returns to Uganda as a bigger artist. He first performed here in 2019 and is set to perform at Lugogo Hockey Ground on July 27, 2024. The event promises fan interaction with activities like DJ battles, gaming competitions, and fashion shows

Nigerian singer Joseph Akinfewa Donus alias Joeboy is coming back to Uganda a much bigger artiste.

In 2019 when Joeboy had just about dropped his mega hit Baby, Uganda was among the very first countries he performed in.

During an interview then he mentioned how it brought absolute joy to him that he had started being booked outside his country. A significant number turned up at the Guvnor Park yard to watch him.

That groundbreaking hit song gave him a stable platform to shine. He has since produced more songs, like Likkle Riddim, Sip (Alcohol), Call, Don’t Call me back and Blessings.

While addressing journalists at a press conference at Ruby Lounge in Bugoloobi, Kampala recently, Joe Gala the Brand Manager of Club beer promised “an unforgettable summer experience” when Joeboy performs in Kampala again.

“It is going to be much more of a fan/artiste interaction on July, 27th 2024 at Lugogo Hockey Ground,” he said.

From DJ battles and singing competitions to fashion shows and gaming zones, the day will be filled with nonstop fun and excitement.

As the sun sets, Joe Boy will take the stage, performing his top hit songs. One lucky fan will also get an opportunity to go head-to-head with Joe Boy in a Fifa gaming competition.

They also want to provide platforms where artistes, gamers and entertainers showcase their skills and connect with their audiences in meaningful ways.

Sammy Wetala one of the organizers of the event said is going to be more of a party than a concert because of the various activities that will take place.
