The Jinja School of Nursing and Midwifery and Shenyang Medical College of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, China, have inked a five-year cooperation agreement with the goal of fostering academic quality, collaborative research, and tutor and student exchanges among nursing students in the Busoga area.

The renewal of the agreement followed the expiry of the same agreement between the two institutions.

Mula, who led the delegation conveyed warm greetings from the school’s principal, Mebra Mulabiza and underscored the significance attached to the co-operation as a means to enhance academic excellence by the school.

According to Mula, the co-operation shall focus on the promotion of tutor and student exchanges, joint research, exchange of academic materials, publications and information and among others.

Mula lauded Shenyang Medical University for its commitment towards the promotion of China-Africa co-operation through the embracement of the co-operation.

He noted that while the co-operation had been established by the two institutions in September 2018, the COVID-19 Pandemic had hindered its take-off and fruitfulness.

“Your Excellence, it’s Covid-19; that distracted us, and I wish to use this opportunity to request for the activation of the tutor and student exchanges as the first project under the established co-operation,” Mula said.
