Director of Operations, Uganda Police Force AIGP Frank Mwesigwa, visited the Al Jazeera Formed Police Unit camp in Mogadishu, Somalia, accompanied by key officials, including SCP Martin Amoru, ATMIS Police Deputy Commissioner, and CP Dinah Kyasimire, Deputy Director of Legal Sevices, UPF yesterday 17th October 2024.

Along with other important officials, such as SCP Martin Amoru, ATMIS Police Deputy Commissioner, and CP Dinah Kyasimire, Deputy Director of Legal Services, UPF, Director of Operations, Uganda Police Force AIGP Frank Mwesigwa, visited the Al Jazeera Formed Police Unit camp in Mogadishu, Somalia, yesterday, October 17, 2024.

AIGP Mwesigwa and team inspected the camp, met with Uganda Formed Police Unit personnel, and evaluated the working environment.
During his address, AIGP Mwesigwa commended the personnel for their exceptional discipline, commitment, teamwork, endurance, and morale. He also praised their effective collaboration with other components, such as the military and FPUs, in the mission area.
He also emphasized the importance of sustaining these qualities to ensure the mission’s success.
SCP Martin Amoru, ATMIS Police Deputy Commissioner, also spoke, reinforcing Mwesigwa’s message and highlighting the significance of the Uganda Police Force’s contribution to the mission.
