Disciplinary Excellence: Military Police Workshop Closes with Emphasis on Professionalism
A two-week leadership workshop, concluded on December 20, aimed to enhance discipline and cohesion. The participants, including commanding officers and department heads, gained valuable knowledge and skills for their duties.
Military Police officers have been enjoined to exhibit professionalism in their interactions with civilians.
This directive was issued by the Military Police Commandant, Brigadier General William Bainomugisha, during the conclusion of a two-week leadership workshop on Wednesday, December 20.
In a press statement, Brig. Gen. Bainomugisha emphasized the significance of discipline and exemplary conduct in the daily lives of Military Police officers, underscoring their crucial role in enforcing discipline within the Uganda People’s Defence Forces.
Colonel Justus Musenene, the Military Police Brigade Operations and Training Officer, noted that the workshop contributed to fostering cohesion among the command and staff, addressing gaps, and enhancing discipline among the officers.
A senior participant acknowledged that the workshop equipped them with valuable knowledge and skills essential for the effective execution of their duties.
The workshop’s attendees comprised commanding officers of units within Military Police, heads of departments, and regimental sergeant majors.
