EAC Experts Unite for Regional Industrial Growth: Two-Day Meeting Kicks Off in Kampala

The East African Community (EAC) Multi Experts Working Group (MEWG) commenced a two-day meeting today, hosted by National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) through Luwero Industries under the leadership of Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi. The meeting is chaired by Brig Gen Thiik Bol Giir, Defence Attaché at the Embassy of South Sudan in Uganda September 26th, 2024.

The National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) through Luwero Industries hosted the East African Community (EAC) Multi Experts Working Group (MEWG) for two days today, with Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi serving as the group’s leader. On September 26, 2024, the meeting was presided over by Brig. Gen. Thiik Bol Giir, the Defence Attaché at the South Sudanese Embassy in Uganda.

The September 26-27, 2024, meeting brings together representatives from Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Uganda, and Somalia. The experts aim to develop modalities for legal and technical aspects, enabling the establishment and co-ownership of raw materials processing industries. These industries will focus on vital resources such as iron, copper, cotton, hides, lithium, and more.

Over the next two days, participants will engage in constructive discussions, share expertise, and forge partnerships to drive regional industrial growth.
