The results for the Primary Leaving test (PLE) 2023 will be available on test center portals, allowing schools to obtain them as soon as they are officially released. Additionally, District, Municipal, and City School Inspectors can get physical copies from UNEB headquarters in Ntinda beginning Monday, January 29, 2024. Currently, there are no physical copies available. Short Messaging Service (SMS) on mobile networks allows parents, candidates, and interested parties to get instant result alerts.

Inquiries can be sent via SMS or WhatsApp to 0760 731 261 or 0776 865 556, or by phoning the UNEB toll-free number at 0800 211077.

Regarding examination malpractice, UNEB, in accordance with Section 5(2)(b) of the UNEB Act, 2021, would withhold the results of affected applicants awaiting investigations. The Board’s tribunal, the Examinations Security Committee, will conduct a fair hearing before making final conclusions. Once the tribunal hearings are completed, UNEB will publish a list of districts and schools with revoked results.

Executive Director Dan Odongo raised worry over the large number of candidates in Division U (Ungraded), calling for a comprehensive examination into the causes and required actions. Performance in 2023, with a higher proportion passing in Division 3 and above, is comparable to 2022. Division U is given to individuals who do not fulfill the minimum requirement for at least a Division 4, making them ineligible for Senior 1 class enrollment.
