The Electoral Commission (EC) has commenced the public display of demarcated Local Government Council Electoral Areas from January 13 to January 20, 2025, ahead of Uganda’s 2025/2026 General Elections.

In preparation for the upcoming 2025/2026 General Elections, the Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the public display of demarcated Local Government Council Electoral Areas. The exercise will run from January 13th to January 20th, 2025.

The initiative aims to ensure that the boundaries of all electoral areas are clearly defined, ensuring fair representation for all administrative units. Additionally, this process will allow the EC to verify and finalize the list of administrative units across Uganda, fostering transparency and fairness in the electoral process.

Citizens are encouraged to view the lists displayed on public notice boards at District, City, Municipality, City Division, Sub- County, Town, and Municipal Division headquarters. Alternatively, the information is accessible on the EC website at www.ec.or.ug.

This exercise marks a crucial step in the EC’s efforts to prepare for credible and inclusive elections.
