Government Chief Whip Denis Hamson Obua extends commendation to the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) for its notable transformation and unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security within the nation.

Representing Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without Portfolio, Lukia Isanga Nakadama, who is currently abroad, Obua expressed his appreciation at the Senior Command and Staff College (SCSC) Kimaka, Jinja, on Saturday, January 6, 2024.

During his address, Obua acknowledged the comprehensive transformation of UPDF, emphasizing its multifaceted contributions to national development. He conveyed gratitude to His Excellency, the President of Uganda, and the entire Army leadership for fostering UPDF into an all-encompassing force grounded in the principles of duty, integrity, ethics, honour, courage, and loyalty.

In a message delivered by Obua, Nakadama highlighted the significance of the cultural gala themed “Harnessing African Unity and Security through Promotion of our rich Cultural Diversity for a Common Destiny.”

She conveyed her belief that this event would equip senior officers with additional skills crucial for serving humanity, emphasizing the importance of leveraging cultural similarities and diversities to enhance security efforts and preserve humanity.
