Head Coach Fred Mudoola Announces 28-Man Squad for Uganda Rugby Cranes Ahead of 2024 Rugby Africa Men’s Cup.

Head coach Fred Mudoola has announced a 28-man squad for the Uganda Rugby Cranes, set to compete in the 2024 Rugby Africa Men’s Cup. The squad, revealed after a five-day training camp in Wairaka, will be led by captain Ivan Magomu with Byron Oketayot and Conrad Wanyama as vice-captains.

Head coach Fred Mudoola has named a 28-man squad for the Uganda Rugby Cranes, poised for participation in the 2024 Rugby Africa Men’s Cup.

The squad was revealed on Sunday 14th July 2024 at Bourbon in Jinja upon the climax of a five-day residential training camp at the Youth with A Mission Hopeland campus in Wairaka.

Ivan Magomu retains his role as team captain and will be assisted by Byron Oketayot and Conrad Wanyama.

The 2024 Rugby Africa Men’s Cup will kick off on Saturday, July 20th 2024 at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. Uganda will face Zimbabwe in the fourth quarterfinal at 4 p.m.

The Squad is comprised of Nathan Bwambale, Faragi Odugo, Jude Jjuuko, Santos Ssenteza, Mike Otto, Saul Kivumbi, Asuman Mugerwa, Eliphaz Emong, Julius Opio, Charles Uhuru, Robert Aziku, Brian Wandera, Sydney Gongodyo, Moses Zziwa, Alex Aturinda, Mark Omoding, Byron Oketayot, Wilfred Pool Kalungi, Conrad Wanyama, Joseph Aredo, Ivan Magomu, Thomas Gwotko, Jones Kamiza, Shakim Sembusi, Joseph Oyet, Arnold Ocen, Timothy Kisiga, Philip Wokorach.
