Intelligent Transport Monitoring System (ITMS): A Game-Changer in Curbing Crime and Improving Security
The Government of Uganda, in a significant move towards amplifying national security and safeguarding its citizens, is gearing up to launch the Intelligent Transport Monitoring System (ITMS). Jointly led by the Ministry of Works and Transport and the Ministry of Security, this initiative is set to redefine vehicular security and crime management in the East African nation.
At the core of the ITMS is the comprehensive registration of all motor vehicles in Uganda. Every motorist in the country will receive a new number plate embedded with state-of-the-art technology.
