Justice Elizabeth Musoke Appointed To Uganda’s Judicial Service Commission
Justice Elizabeth Musoke, newly approved for the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee, underwent vetting chaired by Speaker Anita Among.
Justice Elizabeth Musoke is the newest member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), having been approved by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee.
On Monday 27th November 2023, Justice Musoke made an appearance before the Committee, which Speaker Annet Anita Among chaired.
President Yoweri Museveni, the appointing authority, recently named Musoke to the JSC.
“I have this afternoon chaired Parliament’s Committee on Appointments which vetted Justice Elizabeth Musoke, who was appointed a Member of the Judicial Service Commission by President Yoweri Museveni,” Among stated Yesterday
“The Committee’s report will be transmitted to the Appointing Authority for further action.”
The Judicial Service Commission is a Constitutional body established under Article 146 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995, whose mandate is to recruit judicial officers and regulate their conduct.
