In a much-anticipated revelation, the release date for the latest action crime thriller, “Ruthless,” produced by Ugandan and US-based actor Hemdee Kiwanuka, has been announced.

The film, featuring renowned actor Dermot Mulroney, is poised to make its official debut on Video on Demand (VOD) platforms starting Friday, December 15th, 2023.

The official trailer for the suspenseful action crime thriller “Ruthless,” which looks like a really intense cinematic experience, was released prior to the release date announcement. The movie will be accessible on VOD, which is a radical step in the current film distribution landscape.

About Hemdee Kiwanuka

Hemdee Kiwanuka (born August 31, 1975) is a Ugandan film and television actor and producer.

Born in Kampala to Ugandan legendary singer Halima Namakula, Hemdee has two brothers, Rashid Kiwanuka and Khris Kiwanuka, and one sister who is also a singer, Rachel K (musician). In 1987, Hemdee and his brother Rashid relocated to the United States.

In the 1990s, Hemdee started his career as a hip-hop performer and went on tour with R. Kelly, Master P, and The Gap Band. In addition, he had acting and modeling contracts with Abram Artist Agency and made appearances in TV commercials.

Hemdee signed Cannonball Run 2001, a TV series produced by GRB Entertainment and broadcast on the USA Network in 2000. “Fame in the Family,” Hemdee’s debut reality television program, starred Romeo Miller and Sean Kingston in 2013. GRB Entertainment served as the executive producer for the E! Network program. 2018 saw the premiere of Hemdee Kiwanuka’s first theatrical release, The Dark Within, which was executive produced by Niko Foster and directed by David Ryan Keith with assistance from Steven Durham, Mary Ann Barnes, David Dittlinger, and Lorraine Keith. The same year, Black TV, an African channel hosted by actor and producer Thomas Gumede, and Hemdee and GRB Studios inked a multiyear licensing and distribution agreement
