Baryomunsi made the remarks on Saturday, August 24th 2024 while officiating at the fundraising event aimed at raising funds to complete the construction of a two-storied ICT complex at the institute in Bwindi Buhooma town council Kinkiizi west Kanungu district.

The Minister explained that Ugandans who have channeled vocational schools have become more successful than those who study to seek for white collar therefore Ugandans need to embrace vocational studies.

He added that the government has given the mandate to private entities to start up vocational training centers to help in training job creators who can create impact in the innovation and technology of Uganda and abroad.

As a sign of supporting the college the Minister pledged to donate 96 iron sheets to roof the block and personally contributed UGX 5 million by purchasing items including a cow that he donated to students.

Mr. Frank Byaruhanga the speaker Kanungu district on behalf of Kanungu district local government commended the outstanding work of Mr. Agaba and Mrs. Mwajuma Twaha Adams.

He also urged the Ministry of Education & Sports to fully implement the TVET Act, which has yet to be properly streamlined into the education system to reduce levels of unemployment.

According to Adams Agaba and Mwajuma Twongyeirwe the school proprietors Bwindi community vocational college started in 2012 specializing in computer training for s4 and S6 leavers where a big vision rose from to start up other vocational courses with the purpose of equipping Ugandans with knowledge and skills in addition to providing more knowledge on tourism.
