Yesterday, he attended the opening ceremony of the Sustainability Week, where he witnessed the awards ceremony presided over by Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
The ceremony also welcomed East African leaders such as Kenyan President William Ruto and Rwandan President Paul Kagame, alongside other world leaders.
The annual event reflects the enduring legacy of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, whose visionary approach to sustainability and humanitarianism drives the UAE’s mission to improve livelihoods globally.
Among the highlights was the Global High Schools category for Sub-Saharan Africa. St. Kizito High School Namugongo from Uganda narrowly missed the top prize, despite presenting innovative, student-led sustainability solutions for disadvantaged communities.
