The Queen of the Kingdom of Buganda, Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda, spoke with President Yoweri Museveni on Saturday 23rd September 2023. President Museveni announced the engagement in a social media post.

“I received Her Royal Highness the Nnabagereka and her delegation at State House, Entebbe,” he told his three million-plus followers on X, formerly Twitter.

“We discussed ways to harness culture for peace and development (reviving obuntubulamu).”

“I urged them to audit culture and promote positive traditions and practices,” Museveni continued. “For instance, can we discipline kids without stifling their curiosity and initiative?”

A picture of the President and the Nnabagereka was also included in the tweet.

Both the State House and the Buganda Kingdom withheld information about the engagement.
