President Museveni Meets U.K. and U.S. Envoys to Strengthen Bilateral Relations
On January 27, President Yoweri Museveni hosted the British High Commissioner, H.E. Lisa Chesney, and the U.S. Ambassador, H.E. William W. Popp, in separate meetings at State House Entebbe.
President Yoweri Museveni on Monday, January 27, hosted the envoys of the United Kingdom and the United States of America in separate meetings.
According to a statement on his X account, discussions with the British High Commissioner focused on strengthening ties and advancing mutual interests between Uganda and the U.K. At the same time, talks with the U.S. ambassador centered on enhancing cooperation and promoting shared interests between the two nations.
“Today, I hosted the British High Commissioner, H.E. Lisa Chesney, at State House Entebbe. We discussed ways to strengthen ties and advance mutual interests between Uganda and the United Kingdom,” reads the post on X.
“Later, I met with H.E. William W. Popp, the United States ambassador. Our discussion focused on enhancing cooperation and promoting shared interests between both our countries.”
