President Museveni Praises Maama Janet on her 75th Birthday

President Yoweri Museveni thanked the people of Uganda for their prayers during his recovery from COVID-19. He also expressed gratitude for their prayers for his wife, who he praised on her 75th birthday. The First Lady of Uganda is referred to as Ginga by “Bazukulu.” Museveni credited his wife for helping him raise a wonderful family despite his frequent absence between 1974 and 1986. He praised God for protecting his wife.

Museveni expressed gratitude towards his wife the First Lady Janet Museveni following her strong support during his struggle with COVID-19. Museveni praised his wife at time of her 75th birthday. He also thanked Ugandans for their prayers. This was on Saturday 24th June 2023, which he said helped him recover. He thanked them for their prayers during his battle with Corona.

First Lady Janet Museveni was born in Bwongyera in 1948, while her father was the local Gombolola chief.

“Greetings, Ginga,” said Museveni. Bazukulu refer to Uganda’s First Lady as Ginga.

President Museveni claimed that despite spending 12 years as an absent husband between 1974 and 1986, his beloved wife Janet Kataaha Museveni helped him build a great family.

“This is a lady who helped a frequently absentee husband to raise a wonderful family that is at present comprised of very responsible parents and wonderful grandchildren,” he said.

“The beneficiary absentee husband of 1974-1986, is yours truly, Yoweri Museveni, member of Fronasa and the NRA. The Ugandans know what she has been contributing to the country since 1986. I praise the Lord God for her life.”

Museveni praised God for protecting his wife.
