Today Thursday 20th April 2023, President Yoweri Museveni is scheduled to meet with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Parliamentary Caucus to discuss the recently passed Anti-Homosexuality bill of 2023, along with other issues. The meeting will take place at 2:00 pm at Kololo ceremonial grounds, according to a statement by the caucus chairperson, Hon. Denis Obua.
One of the primary purposes of the meeting is to discuss the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, 2023, which was passed by Parliament last month. If signed into law, the bill would criminalize homosexual activities. However, the international community has called on Museveni not to sign the bill, and the US government has warned of potential economic sanctions if it is enacted.
