Queen Elizabeth National Park Tragedy: ADF Commander Charged with Terror

Abdul Rashid Kyoto, alleged ADF commander, was charged with terrorism, murder, and robbery for the killing of two British tourists and a Ugandan tour guide at Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Abdul Rashid Kyoto, 31 years old and a former resident of Suni Village in Budaka District, eastern Uganda, was recently arrested by the UPDF Marine Forces on Lake Edward. This arrest is linked to the murders that occurred on the 17th of October 2023. During the operation, two of Kyoto’s associates were fatally shot, while others managed to escape in a boat.

The prosecution alleges that Kyoto, along with other members of the ADF terrorist group, orchestrated an ambush that led to the unfortunate demise of the British tourists and their Ugandan guide. Subsequently, the assailants reportedly set their vehicle ablaze.
