The rivalry between musicians Sheebah and Cindy, who are both seen as role models in the entertainment industry, have upcoming concerts on the same day, leading to heightened interest and anticipation among their fans. The rivalry has escalated with verbal jabs from both artists, adding to the excitement.

Victoria University vice-chancellor Lawrence Muganga has opined that the concerts of singers Sheebah Karungi and Cindy Sanyu scheduled to take place at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, Kampala on September 15, 2023, will empower the girl-child.

“When it comes to entertainment, Sheebah and Cindy are role models. So, we want them to make the most of this chance to show off their skills and motivate young people who look up to them,” he said.

Sheebah is a university brand ambassador, it should be noted.

On August 1, 2023, Muganga made the comments at a press conference held at the university’s offices on Kampala Road

King Michael is having his concert at Cricket Oval Lugogo on the same day Muganga stated, “We are not against King Michael’s concert, and we cannot postpone our event because of him. Let both performances occur on the same day. Where the fans go is entirely up to them.”

Fans of Sheebah and Cindy continue to be drawn in by their argument over the concerts, which heightens interest in and anticipation for each of their upcoming events. Sheebah implied that Cindy is a Nokia while she is an iPhone after Cindy called her a “young child.” How this musical rivalry develops will only become clear with time.
