Maj Gen Jack Bakasumba affirmed the strong military partnership between Uganda and Algeria during a meeting with Algerian High Military School delegates.

He praised the UPDF’s determination and successful peacekeeping operations, citing Uganda as the first to deploy to Somalia under President Museveni’s leadership. Brig Gen Rabah Benhamouda of Algeria reciprocated, commending the UPDF and highlighting the positive impact of CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s visit in boosting bilateral cooperation and training initiatives, particularly in counter-terrorism.
