The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has appointed Belgian coach Paul Put as the new head coach of the Uganda Cranes. Put, known for his successful coaching career in Africa, has signed a two-year contract and will succeed Morley Byekwaso. Uganda To Pay $30 Million Hosting Fee and Preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations

Uganda is set to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and will need to pay a $30 million hosting fee to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) before February 2025. This decision followed the joint Pamoja Bid with Kenya and Tanzania to host the tournament. Alongside the hosting fee, Uganda has committed to building two new stadiums and upgrading existing ones for the event.

Serbiato Host 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships

Serbia has been awarded the privilege of hosting the 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Belgrade.
