“This represents an increase of 3.42% in quantity and 48.97% in value. Ten exporters, out of 65 active companies, accounted for 76% of the total volume, up from 75% in August 2024,” the report noted.
According to the UCDA, global coffee production for 2024/25 is projected to increase by 7.1 million bags, reaching 176.2 million, primarily due to continued recovery in Brazil and rising output in Indonesia.
“With the additional supplies, global exports are expected to rise by 3.6 million bags to 123.1 million, driven by strong shipments from Indonesia and Brazil. Consumption is anticipated to grow by 3.1 million bags, reaching 170.6 million,” the report highlighted.
Ending stocks are expected to increase by 1.9 million bags, totaling 25.8 million, following three consecutive years of decline.
