In anticipation of the plant’s imminent launch, Irene Bateebe, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development affirmed the government’s unwavering support for the venture.

Bateebe emphasized that preparations are well underway for the grand unveiling of Uganda’s maiden tin processing facility, heralding a new era of prosperity and progress for the nation.

As the countdown to the inauguration gathers momentum, speculation abounds regarding the transformative impact of the tin refining plant on Uganda’s economy and its standing within the global mining fraternity.

Despite the magnitude of this historic undertaking, Woodcross Resources remains tight-lipped on the precise scale of investment, opting to maintain a veil of secrecy amidst heightened anticipation.

In tandem with this landmark development, Uganda’s mining sector continues to witness a flurry of activity, underscored by Ionic Rare Earths’ subsidiary, Rwenzori Rare Metals, securing a coveted large-scale mining license for the Makuutu Heavy Rare Earth Project.
