On May 27, 2023, delegates from different nations attended the closing and awards ceremony to represent their nations. Ambassador Judith Nsababera, the consul general of Uganda in Guangzhou, served as the country’s representative.

“I am happy that Huawei has these opportunities where students all over the world can show case their talents in ICT,” Ambassador Judith said during her remarks at the Awards ceremony. And even prouder of the youngsters who toiled so arduously to reach this international platform. I’m really pleased to see female students competing in such international ICT competitions. Globally, women and girls have less access to ICT than males do. Uganda continues to set the global standard for advancing women in all fields. Thank you to the students from the three universities and the four teams. They will guide our nation into the digital era. He declared, “Digital talent and digital skills will form the cornerstone of the growth of the digital economy. In the future, Huawei will expand the number of schools it serves with ICT educational tools. By 2026, it is anticipated that we will have built 7000 Huawei ICT Academies, trained more than 1 million students annually, and significantly improved students’ digital literacy and skills for a more vibrant and inclusive digital world.
