UNEB to release 2023 UACE results today

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will today, Thursday, March 7th, 2024, officially release the results from the 2023 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations.

Results of the 2023 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams will be formally released by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) today, Thursday, 7th March 2024.

UNEB in an announcement on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday confirmed that the function for the release of the 2023 UACE Results which will take place at 11:00 am at State House, Nakasero will be presided over by the Minister of Education and Sports Ms Janet Kataha Museveni.

The 2023 UACE results are set to be the third and last set of the national exams released by UNEB after Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results that were released early in the month.

According to official figures from UNEB, a total of 110,569 candidates were registered to sit for the 2023 UACE exams of which 43 per cent (47,227) are female while 57 per cent (63,342) are male.

S.6 vacists who score at least two principal passes in the 2023 UACE Results will automatically qualify to join universities and other tertiary institutions while those who fail to attain two principal passes will be advised to resit another year in A ‘level or use their UCE results for post-secondary education.

Similarly, those who will qualify to join higher education are expected to join universities and other tertiary institutions in May and August for the new academic year 2024/23.

In the UACE performance, students who score more than two principal passes will automatically qualify to join universities and other tertiary institutions while those who fail to attain two principal passes will be required to repeat Senior Six or use their UCE results or join tertiary institutions for diploma and certificate programmes.
